About 16gm Chargers
These cream whippers are designed for people that make lots of whipped cream – they will produce twice the volume of cream as a standard 8gm charger.
These are designed to work with all standard fitting 16gm whipped cream dispensers – please DO NOT use them with the smaller 8gm dispensers – there is risk of fracture or explosion due to the fact they contain twice as much nitrous oxide gas under pressure.
Cheeky Monkey Cream Chargers sells dispensers specifically designed for use with the larger chargers – so be sure to add one of these to your basket if you don’t already own one.
How To Use Cream Chargers
Making large quantities of whipped cream with the correct equipment really could not be simpler, all you need to do is fill the flask of the whipper with the liquid to be whipped – if you are using cream then make sure it has a percentage of fat that is about 30% then screw in the charger holder allowing the gas to be released into the cream. Give it a little shake – and that’s it you’re ready to go … all you need to do now is pull the trigger.
Info:
- 16gm cream chargers should only be used with 16gm cream dispensers

Salted Whipped Cream and Pudding
At the first sight, a combination between a pudding and salted whipped cream may look as a (big) mistake. In fact, it is the recipe for a delicious meal that could be easily tested and tasted in any moment of the day. The idea of a salty whipped cream might be very odd – but using cream chargers is all about getting adventurous – so don’t be scared of being a little bit unusual!
Ingredients
- For the pudding you need:
- 4 egg yolks
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar; brown sugar can also be used
- ½ cup butter
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tbs. vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tbsp scotch
- For the whipped cream you need:
- 1cup whipped cream
- 1 tbs. salt
Method
You need to start with the pudding: beat the yolks. Mix the butter with the scotch. Mix the milk, with the cornstarch and the sugar until you have a smooth composition. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook at moderate temperature for around 15 minutes. Let to rest and chill in the fridge. Add the whipped cream and serve it as cold as possible.
Notes
Instead of scotch you can use vanilla or any non-alcoholic liquor. This will help you to invite your children – and maybe even their friends – to taste it.
If you want to use it better, you can cut the butter into little pieces of the dimension of a tablespoon.
You can serve it with a big cup of coffee or with a glass of red wine on a long night of December. A hot tea matches as well.
